THE BRIEF:
Launched in 2022, Console is crypto-native chat — a Web3 alternative to Discord. An open-source platform for Bitcoin and Ethereum communities to organise, collaborate, and build.
It's a platform built on and powered by trust: more secure than Discord, Console validates users' identities (and the communities they become members of) based on their ownership of NFTs, EFTs, or their Bitcoin or Ethereum decentralised ID.
Prior to launch, Console wanted a tone of voice and style guide to help them formulate a brand voice in a space that sits outside of the traditional branding scene.
There was also the platform copy to work through with the design team, which meant getting to grips with some pretty complex concepts — like creating a multi-sig wallet to govern ownership by a verified community.
