Console
UX writing + style guide + tone of voice
Developing a voice and style guide for Console — a crypto-native, Web3 community space — plus a full sweep of the platform’s UX copy.
Prior to launch, Console was curious about how they might formulate a ‘brand’ voice.
Solving the challenge of how you talk about a ‘brand’ but also the world it exists within, when those terms don’t apply, was key to this project. How do you speak about yourself when you are community owned (and sit very much outside of the mainstream)?
Well, you start with research, a great MetaLab x Console team, and crypto socials 💀
The work
Goals:
Explore possible routes for identifying a voice that worked with Console’s philosophy.
Create a tone of voice and style guide, covering everything from language conventions to accessibility.
Review and write the UX copy of the platform, including onboarding, wallets, permissions, anonymous verification, chat, error messaging, and support.
